With an area of 11.5 ha, the Eurogate II site in Vienna's Landstrasse near the main railway station is one of the most important inner-city urban expansion areas. As an extension of the already developed Eurogate I area, a car-free, contemporary residential quarter for 4,000 inhabitants with a gross floor area of 237,500 m² will be created on the area with a high traffic load at the edges.

The required urban planning and urban spatial conciseness is achieved by a block edge structure along the traffic-loaded sides, which allow attractive building structures and public spaces in its interior. Around a central, large green space, two small-scale, differentiated quarters are arranged, which in themselves allow urban flexibility as well as identification.

The connection to the Eurogate I district is permeable via point houses. Residential use accounts for 80% of the area and is implemented with residential typologies for affordable living and living quality even in noise-exposed zones. The quarter will be enlivened by activating the base zones, where a variety of commercial-social and flexible uses are planned.
